A Vision of Promise & Potential
An esteemed delegation from UNICEF and management team led by the Executive Director of TDA Mr. Tesfay G/her recently conducted an official visit to TDA’s hydroponic farm project in KAIC, marveling at its remarkable progress and the transformative power of its technology. With unwavering dedication, TDA is intensifying efforts to expand the project’s reach to schools, farmers training centers, IDP sites, and households, thereby fortifying nutritional and food security in Tigray.
This pioneering initiative holds the promise of combating stunting, malnutrition, and undernutrition among children and mothers. By integrating hydroponic farming into various facets of community life, TDA is poised to be a beacon of hope, ushering in a new era of health and well-being. Notably, the project stands as a cornerstone of TDA’s school feeding program, nurturing young minds with wholesome, locally sourced nutrition.
Through concerted efforts and strategic partnerships with UNICEF, TDA’s hydroponic farm project is not merely cultivating crops; it is nurturing a future where every child and mother in Tigray thrives, free from the shackles of hunger and malnutrition.
