The Kalamino Agricultural Investment Center (KAIC) has successfully produced early vegetables and fruits using soilless farming technology.

Director of the Health and Nutrition Directorate of the Tigray Development Association (TDA), Tesfay Temesgen, said that vegetables have been distributed to the displaced people in various shelters through the soilless farming technology implemented by the TDA with funding from UNICEF. He said work will continue to be done to reduce obesity and poverty and enhance intellectual development by providing balanced nutrition to children under 5 years of age, especially infants aged 6-23 months.
