TDa helps 1,227 poor students in Keyih Tekli Woreda to continue their education through providing scholastic materials

TDa helped 1,227 poor students of Metkel and Endabano Primary Schools in Keyih Tekli Woreda to continue their education by providing 7,362 exercise books, 4,908 pens and 4,908 pencils donated by A Glimmer of Hope (AGoH). The donation is worth 550,000 Etb.

During the distribution, beneficiaries expressed their excitement and said that the donation helped to solve the problem they were having. They further explained they used to learn 3 or so subjects in one exercise book and swap a pen and a pencil between siblings.”Thanks to TDA & AGoH, now that we got 6 exercise book, 4 pens and pencils each, no longer would we worry about scholastic materials!” beneficiaries uttered optimistically. They also added this would help motivate them to properly persue their education.

Commending the support they received from TDA, parents, on their part, recounted that “life is unbearabley miserable due to the genocidal war waged over the people of Tigray. It thus became so difficult to send our children to school becaus we couldn’t afford to buy scholastic materials”.

Recalling the fact that TDA and AGoH built and furnished 4 classrooms, O’ class and a library in Metkel and 4 classrooms and restrooms in Endabano Primary Schools in 2012 E.C, parents extended their hearty gratitude for their support so far.
